About Me

My paintings are often colorful scenes or landscapes without a direct relationship with reality. They reach for something behind or beyond that point, to a world of imagination. By doing so, I try to refer to connections in the real world around me, in combination with the metaphysical reality on a deeper level. So there is room for wonderment, joy or stillness. Having said that, please don’t take it too seriously, I enjoy to play with paint.

My intention is to work with an open mind trying to find the right balance between shapes and colors, aiming at some kind of harmony with a twist. Through my art, I want to achieve a suggestive, decorative and aesthetic effect.

I find inspiration in everyday life, traveling, meeting people, contemplate from time to time. And of course in fine art and great artists that I admire and love so much.

I create my paintings mainly with acrylic paint on canvas, but also with mixed media techniques.
